Leica M4-2
The Leica M4-2 is the third Leica I was able to get, after my first, the R3, and the M3 double-stroke. I don't have much knowledge about other cameras since I stuck to the M3 for a long time, and later the M4-2. However, if I had to choose between those three, I would definitely choose the M4-2.
I took my M4-2 to Thailand and Japan and had one of the best times shooting; something about the mechanical feel is perfection.
Below are a few of my favorite shots taken with this camera. I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I loved capturing them!
LomoChrome color 92 sun-kissed iso 400
I took those photos with my leica m4-2 using my Voigtländer 35mm and for film I used a very special one, a LomoChrome color 92 sun-kissed iso 400.
Those photos were took in Hua Hin Thailand and I remember that I had a goal in life, using a sun kissed LomoChrome film at the beach and i’m happy that I was able to use it in here. Thailand.
The beach in there was amazing, the colors of the sea, the sand and the sun all over people skin was lovely.
Those photos I took them in Hua Hin, Thailand in 2026 and I remember that I had a goal and was using a sun kissed LomoChrome film in the beach and i’m happy that I was able to use it in this one particulary since watching the results made me realize that the sand and sea together are the perfect combination, i guess as photographer we see many things in a daily basis, big or small, since we were born some people had the opportunity to go to the beach, i remember when i was little i used to go to Veracruz a lot for vacation, or even cancun and i fell in love with the beach, even i dont like getting myself into the water i love being in the sand and just put some music and relax, its true that im afraid of the sea because i believe that theres something in there since i was a kid, and well, i want to keep that thinking. (And yes im talking about Godzilla).
The colors came really nice, I love the contrast of the water and the sky and of course the gold of the sand and the fact that the color in the skin that this film creates its amazing and i really love that feeling, definitely will buy another one and take some pictures at the beach again.
The photo of the sea makes me feel so weird, I guess is the contrast? It makes me feel like very young, l guess the time I used to go to the beach with my parents which is funny since they were there when I took this one, and the shadows and the way they form in the skin are so amazing, I just love it.
Thanks sun for letting me use part of you in this set, definitely one of my favorites and can't wait to try again!
I took those photos without my lighmeter as well so it made me happy how they came out since it felt like using my raw knowledge of light, camera, etc. I do believe if you want to start learning film photography is just matter of time until you get used to, even if you don’t have lightmeter eventually you wont even need one if you practice a lot. Once again these days modern cameras all have lightmeter and automatic mode so i guess its good for people who love to take photos but dont want to get too deep into the photography but i guess they will never know that feeling that we get of “um will my photo even come out?” “was it underexposed?” i guess thats part and the charm of photography.

CineStill 800Tungsten 35mm
When i heard that my best friend won a tournament and he needed to fly to Japan for it i didn’t think twice, imagining the colors of the streets of Tokyo in a CineStill? sounds like a dream. I went to a store got one of those and took that plane.
CineStill makes a great convo in a place where theres a lot of Neon lights at night, if i have a chance i would love to try again this one in another city where theres a lot of lights at night.
I took these photos in Tokyo, Japan, in March 2026, using a roll of CineStill 800T. I remember being so excited to shoot it! I knew exactly where I wanted to use it before I even got to Japan. Next time I’d love to shoot a roll in Akihabara since there are a lot of neon colors there too, but for this trip I decided on Shibuya and I couldn't be happier.
I went with my friends and just had fun taking pictures of them. To be honest I loved it because I felt so much more chill just capturing my friends instead of overthinking where to take the next photo.
The neon lights look amazing, and even the people in the pictures came out very well. I shot these without a light meter and seeing them come out like this made me really happy.
I was honestly scared to take pictures of my friends and if the film came back and the pictures were bad, I would have been so ashamed! But they loved the photos, and I absolutely loved the colors and the way they turned out.
